Pertwee

Pertwee

A Story by Randy Johnson

In just two days from now, Jon Pertwee will have been dead for twenty-five years. For those who may not know, Pertwee was a British actor. He starred as the 3rd incarnation of the Doctor in "Doctor Who". He starred in Doctor Who from 1970-1974.
It's hard to believe that he has been dead for a quarter of a century. He was born on July 7, 1919 and died on May 20, 1996. I ordered a "Doctor Who" video that he starred in. When I ordered it on May the 18th, he was alive. But when I received the video, he was dead. He was visiting the USA when he died. He died of a heart attack in his sleep.
Even though a teacher told Jon that he'd never amount to anything as an actor, he was brilliant at acting. He was one of the best if not the best actor to star as the Doctor in "Doctor Who". May he Rest in Peace.
