Escape From Monster ManorA Story by Randy JohnsonAn article about a mediocre First-Person Shooter video game
Escape From Monster Manor is a video game that was released for the 3DO game console in 1993. It's a First-Person Shooter that was inspired by Wolfenstein 3D. I bought it at Walmart in 1995 for $30.00.
In this game, you must search for pieces of a magical Talisman to end a curse. You must shoot Grim Reapers, ghosts, spiders, floating heads, etc. You must also search for keys to unlock doors. When you get wounded, your hand starts getting bloody. When it gets extremely bloody, you die. I'm sorry to have to say it, but this game isn't very good. It only has twelve levels and you only have one weapon, "A ghost gun". It's plain to see that this game was inspired by Wolfenstein 3D, but Wolfenstein 3D is much better. Wolfenstein 3D has many more levels than Escape From Monster Manor and it has more weapons as well. If you find this game at a flea market for $5.00 or less, you may want to buy it. But otherwise, I don't recommend it. If you want an older First-Person Shooter, I recommend Wolfenstein 3D or DOOM. They are much better.
