A Woman's Stupid Behavior
A Story by Randy Johnson
I want to share a story with you that I learned yesterday. It's about a woman's stupid behavior. A man had to leave a restaurant because a black employee was going to call the Police because the man referred to her as 'Black'. She was going to try to have him arrested for this. Is this what our world has come to? People being stripped of the freedom of speech. This nasty lady was going to have this man carted away to jail for saying the word 'Black'. When I call her a nasty lady, it has nothing to do with her skin color. It has to do with her lack of character. I could've understood her becoming angry if the man had used the 'N' word, but he isn't racist, or at least I don't think he is. When it comes to skin color, skin color is superficial. It doesn't matter what color a person is. We are all Equal, and that's the truth. It's what a man or woman has in his or her heart that counts. But that woman has no heart. If you cut open her chest, you'll find a block of coal instead of a heart. Anybody who would have a person arrested for such a stupid reason, has no heart and no compassion. I am sick of certain people's behavior and for people getting offended by anything and everything that a person says. We're supposed to have freedom of speech. I am sick of certain people expecting everybody to be Super Politically Correct all the time!!

Political correctness is often carried to extremes, stupidly so in many cases. I understand where you are coming from, but I have to say I sort of understand where she is coming from, also.
I am also white, but I grew up in an area heavily populated by black people,a housing project in Hartford, CT, back in the mid sixties. Back then, the so-called 'polite' term to use when speaking of a black person was either 'colored', or 'negro'. The impolite term, I am sure you can guess, because that one had been around for more than a hundred years.
White people have always been quite comfortable with the adjective 'white', because it almost always has a good, nice, positive connotation.
Consider, however, the word 'black'...
Black magic
Black listed
Black mood
Blackmailed
Black humor
Dark humor
Blackball (not a fun game, but to ban or exclude)
Blackened--as in, her reputation was blackened
The "Dark" side (made famous by Star Wars) the bad or evil side
Black heart
Black market...
I can't think of any more right now, but I'll bet that lady could.
I can think of one term with a good connotation that ENDS with the word 'black', and that is 'in the black'.
I must confess that I do not know what term it is that dark- skinned people currently prefer. The place I currently live is simply, boringly, snoringly white. I only see diversity when I leave this town for some reason.
I would like to know, if there even is one...
Personally, I would prefer hearing people just say, 'that man', or 'that woman'--no matter what color skin the one being spoken of has.
I know God doesn't say,"I am pleased with my black followers," or "I am disappointed in my white followers". He made two people, and we all descended from them. Truly, we are all brothers and sisters under the skin, and we all started out in Africa before spreading over the world.
God simply refers in the Bible to the general population, whatever color, as 'mankind', or 'the nations'. He doesn't mention race or color. Gee...maybe it's not of any consequence to Him...
