Two Years Ago

Two Years Ago

A Poem by Randy Johnson
"

DEDICATED TO AGNES JOHNSON (1948-2013) WHO PASSED AWAY ON MARCH 6, 2013.

"
Two years ago today you died.
Two years ago today I cried.
Two years ago today I lost a woman who was the best.
Two years ago today my heart shriveled in my chest.
Two years ago I felt so much pain within.
Two years ago I lost my most important kin.
Two years ago today I woke and found you lying motionless in your bed.
Two years ago today it hurt very much when I saw that you were dead.
Two years ago today you died at the young age of sixty-four.
Two years ago today you wouldn't be a part of my life anymore.
Two years ago today you left and went to be with the Lord.
Two years ago today it felt like I was stabbed by a sword.
Two years ago today I lost a lady who had so much to give.
Two years ago today I lost one of the most important women who ever lived.
