Hustled

Hustled

A Poem by Randy Johnson
"

THIS IS A FICTIONAL POEM.

"

I've always been excellent at playing pool.

But I got in a situation that made me look like a fool.

Last month a guy challenged me to play some games.

We bet money and what happened was a damn shame.

He lost the first three games and that drove up the bets.

When he was finished with me, I was in serious debt.

I wound up owing that man two thousand dollars.

I refused to pay, I even screamed and hollered.

But then he introduced me to his two large goons.

I decided to pay the man and I decided very soon.

I knew they could hurt me because they have huge muscles.

I'll never bet on pool games again, I don't like being hustled.
