A parents ruleA Poem by Laura S-CA tangible presence
heavy in your mind bringing with it a thousand thoughts like a raging river whether I'm studying in school or following my nutritious teenage diet consisting of soda and chips they are always there like a hammer beating my conscious smash smash smash it trains me to thinks should I do this? would that be wise? I create a verse of questions although I do not always get the answer right when I don't my parents words are harsh a whirl of opinions and advice they scold me for I have not followed the rules but at the end of the day I am who I am my parents realise I will never be perfect and so I lace up my shoes walk out the door with another rule to follow © 2016 Laura S-CReviews
