The Chronicles of VictorA Poem by GiftyThe cycles of a human mind are vicious, to break free of everything worldly is to achieve success in its purest form and this the story of a man who edged close enough to achieve that.
In search of victories
I wandered far into the distant seas I yearned for you like a beggar crying out to the almighty being. Clocktowers had spelled doom and sands had foretold pain but you for Oh! my distant love I searched all around but it was all in vain. with what belief i fought across i still sit and ponder about it now coz' it was neither heaven nor hell which has made me what i am now. Vanity was my sword Prayers at my feet As I marched across the plains with my proud head held high. You were and I were you even I knew it then alas! My pride was a beast whose quest was to vanquish me I stand at the edge of the world tall above all my foes greed and lust, envy and spite are nothing but my prisoners of war as i bask in the glory of their blood they break and are set free as i see the swish of a sword which had cut their shackles free love my love what have you done why did you set them free you fool she cried as i looked down to see my own sword had done this deed. © 2013 GiftyAuthor's Note
