Blue Gold

Blue Gold

A Poem by Talkative Thoughts
"

Save water. Its more precious than we think.

"

Winds blowing the dust around

Sun setting the land ablaze,

Trees stood naked all alone by the side,

On the empty streets the dried leaves made a maze.

Sky seemed parched with not a cloud in sight,

Mud below my feet felt like a wrinkled old hag,

With dried up tears and thirsty tired spirits,

These ideas of progress of how far do we drag?

These little drops of heaven claim their name,

As they quench the thirst and drizzle down on you,

They make little green shoots sprout and laden the trees,

And give us all life anew!

we dry up like leaves on a tree...we fall into the abyss...but then we find rebirth in our spring...

and we quench our thirst for life, eventually.
