"

This was only one block. Many more to go.... All apologies.

Well now what have we here?
Some Tomfoolery on my walk?
A message hidden, yet quite clear.
Are me and Nonsense due a talk?

The neighbor's sign says not to kill.
I've got lions just staring at me.
That's all good, but where's the thrill?
Perhaps the symbolism is lost on me.

Fountains growing up on either side.
Some tumbling down where grasses swell.
others bubbling over thick with pride.
Me stumbling on a path gone all to Hell.

Fences mighty, proud and tall.
Elysium gracing the other side.
paradise watching this Devil fall.
Beauty mocking my idiot's stride.

I try for swagger in my perambulation.
Mind my step, see what I can see.
Hoping to gracefully achieve my destination.
Without a sacrifice to St. Jackassery.

Music at play at a volume none too loud.
Easing around pitfalls and lazy doom.
Minding I soft step none too proud.
Heaven's gorgeous even in the gloom.
