2 Minutes TimeA Poem by RandolphLike, level six sappiness going on here. More late night whateverthehell. Maybe I need a new pillow....And bound up in my own ghost of a dream, I'm swimming in water far, far too deep. So far away even I can't hear my scream. Awake, unsafe, but I dare not ever sleep. Unable to grasp the hand I'm uncertain I see. Familiar scent of skin I've never even felt. How unkind my Coyote dreams can be. How uncertain it seems this hand I'm dealt. But with graceful hands something's changed. Out of an Artist's eyes you vision teased. What circumstance now fallen to the strange. This Spirit unchanged, my hunger pleased? And for this gift rendered by strange hands, What battles I'd cheerfully, endless fight. Free now to wander in these uncharted lands. Not frozen in the weirdling corners of the night. No Charms I wield could ever pay this debt. No Spells I toss could be equal to this gift. But I've been searching, I've not stopped yet. I'll not let this kindness in silence drift. You've painted on my heart and on my mind. You've unleashed the creature and made me strong. You've taken my worried Wards and been kind. Now I've conjured my Touch and written you this song. © 2018 Randolph |
