Be That Way.

Be That Way.

A Poem by Randolph
"

If you haven't been here, ask me when you're older.

"

Slinking 'round a corner, not prepared for me.

Some uncomfortable with my wistful smile.

Slouching in Shadows, River still aimed at the sea.

Damn; I'm good looking on this Mile.

Then it happened, well not It, but You.

You happened 'round the other corner on your way.

Damn determined to make yourself my view.

Smartass grin that wry look set to Play.

And what may this random smile hide?

So boldly, inexcusably charming, new?

Indifferent, so it seems, where my smile abides.

A Trick only managed by the rare, the few.

Am I supposed to stop? Step aside?

Allow this affront to pass a touch away?

Well Smile, I'm not inclined to abide.

Want to win my walk? You better pray.

You find the challenge a Humor, I can tell.

So cocksure you rest in those Eyes.

I'll not let you of my day make a Hell.

You're not allowed to be the surprise.

I'll acknowledge, you do you quite well.

I'm cautious, but certain, you've much to say.

But you slide by, an angel smiling as it fell.

Fine, I'm falling for you. Fine. Be that way.
