The dream i had

Last night I had a dream,
that reminded me of you.
All the love and passion,
that I wanted to be forgotten,
came back like a lighting
and once more brought pain in my life.

Why does this haunt me ?
I do not deserve this.
I try to forget, but alas
my hearth does not let me
forsake the love and passion,
that are painfully forbidden.

I dreamed I put my head,
on your warm shoulder.
At first I was afraid, full of doubt,
but then you smiled
and I felt warm, calm and safe,
with you by my side.

I wanted this to never end.
For the first time in my life
I felt truly happy, with the
shared love we had together.
You and me forever,
it was a wish come true.

Then it had to end.
Everything I hoped and dreamed
just crumbled down.
I woke up - tired and exhausted
and then I felt the cold tears,
running down my cheek.
