EIDOLON OF LOVEA Poem by RamilAnother phantom of love that happens unusually to lovers for long time.EIDOLON OF LOVE Thought of this life, But for my single self; Awakened by the wind, Amidst the falling leaves; Whispered from solemn orison, Before eyes gently opened; Breathed slowly heart contracted, As if there was no end. Filched from my heart, The so-called unconditional love; Stolen of no powers, Decreed not ruler of demigods; Agreed upon within my self, As comptroller of all things; To apportion the purest love, That accorded from intimate feelings. Cherished by undoubted love, Felt from passionate affection; Like centered eyes of Vulture, That charmed the Tamer of Lions; Earthquakes like I trembled, After the goddess had said yes! To the Wildcat’s sovereignty, That Her love had never dies! Let my verse at last ended, That my love remained supreme; Precious mystery the Codex revealed, Love stayed though Author killed, Flesh decayed for awaiting old; Thou should not forget me, The noblest savants of my world.
