Wonder

Wonder

A Poem by AP

Take a deep breath and close your eyes,

Feel the blanket of time pressing by?

Thoughts of the same rat race, same big old goals,

That have been achieved, will be achieved by more.

Whose curious about things in the way they are?

Reasoning done, why venture far.

Minor miracles of life today,

Stand as happenings of every day.

Every little flower bloomed.

Every weft in a carpet weaved.

Every color on a canvas feat.

Every rhythm, melody and beat.

Marvels such of every kind,

Have no place in present mind.

Where diverse sunrises every day,

Are trapped in a cycle from June to May.

Minted in pockets of life are the Universe's miraculous prints,

Sometimes all it takes is a belief in impossible things.

A look at everything with an altered angle,

Offers an illogical, but beautiful view of the Cosmos's tangle.

Wonder not just a question mark,

But awe for things, in the way they are.

Breaking the barriers of the assumed we build,

The thought, the action, the breakthrough of human will.
