you can tell someone something but will they do ?

you can tell someone something but will they do ?

A Story by Ralph Marston
"

you can tell someone not to do this or that, but they must learn on their own

"

You can tell someone...              that its snowing outside

don't forget, to bundle up and stay warm.

you can tell someone...

its raining cats and dogs,               don't forget your embrella or you'll be all soaking wet.

you can tell someone...

please be quite, cause your not felling well

but they must also learn, if you remember when they too we sick

(do you remember when you also were sick)

how everyone cared for you too.

you can tell someone...

what to do... or what you fell is right at that time

but if they don't believe those words.. you speak

then they have to find out on their own

you can lead them down the correct path of life

but they must go at it... on their own

some will get lost, down that road... of life.

sometimes if theirs two parents

they both can shoulder the load

mothers can teach us...

while fathers walk beside us, as we go

and when you get hurt...

they both feel it more, then you know.

I tryed to tell you from my own expatiate of life

I too had dreams...

of what I might want to be...

but I had other responsibilitys out of life

number one was my children and my wife.

the years have slowly passed, I've seen so much of life

the hurt and pain.. to have them all be left, without

driving now...I'm walking... to go hungry

somethimes it hurts, just to have another tear drop fall

one moment you feel lucky...

then you open your wallet and theres no dough (money)

your life now... is like a big crap table

and now it's your turn... to throw out the dice

you can win it all back with one throw of the dice

or you can lose every thing in life

some will only get one shot (in life) while others have a few more to go

I've had more chances at that table...

and I still haven't learned, anymore out of life

but all those moments...I was alway's with you.

remember this... I was alway's standing with you.

my next story will be "Companion". I started to write this story during 2004, but because of different operations (heart surgery, etc.) I had to put it off .
then during 2005 I filed for "copyrights" and submitted a short story line about "Companion". over the past few (four) years, I've noticed that many things I had wrote about (in my story) "others" had used those same "words" or "Ideas", that I had wrote about years before.
