"Young man chasing his dreams" Author : Ralph Marston

A Story by Ralph Marston
"

I met a woman, who told me how sad she was to learn that her son had found his dream job but that it was out of state, I had wrote down these song lyrics.

"

           Young man chasing his dreams

I remember giving you birth...to you, my son

how much joy you've been, to the both of us

after watching you grow, for so many years

learning how to ride your bike, and also your first day at school.

their are some things a mom never forgets

and one is the love she holds for you, my son.

I've been watching you study, late into the night.

trying to hold a full time job, while going to college

and I'm so proud  to tell you son.

you did what you always wanted to do

and you broke my heart, when you said....

that job (you always wanted) you got, but

its in a different state....now you must move.

Son, you may never have known it,

but I was up watching you studying, half of those nights.

and thee other nights, I was waking you up for bed

son, you'll always be just a heart beat away

for my young man is chasing his dreams,

and one of my dreams came true

the day I first laid my eyes on you.

chase your dreams

I'm only a heart beat away

young man chasing his dreams

young man chasing his dreams

you'll always be.....

in this heart of mine.
