Love for road trips.

Love for road trips.

A Story by Ralph Stanczuk
"

Everyone has their reasons why they love road trips, and here are some of mine.

"

There's nothing i love more than road trips, everything about them is just perfect. Driving down the black paved roads, or crusing down the highway with your windows rolled down. The wind rushing into your car, and breathing in the fresh smell of nature. There are some moments where you might have no music on, moments where you just want to relax and enjoy the world; Than there are other times when you just want to blast your favorite song and enjoy the life you have been given.

Road trips are always there for you, whether you're sad, happy, mad, or stressed; you can always depend on road trips.

Let's say you just got into a fight with the love of your life or you broke up, you can hop into your car and just drive away; you may even turn on some sappy love music on or no music at all. What if you're really stressed from school, work, or bills? Your car is always there waiting for you, just take a road trip away from it all. Wind your windows down, and just forget your life for a little bit; forget your problems and enjoy this beatiful world that no one really takes their time to look at.

Being in the back seat or the passenger seat is one of my favorite seats on a road trip. You get to look out the window, with or without music and just get lost in that wonderful mind of yours. Looking at all the things flying by you whether it's trees, cars, or stores; you are always able to get lost in that beautiful head of yours. You get time to think about everything, about that special person or about the things you want to do in life; it's just a great time to think to yourself and get lost for a little bit.

One of my favorite reasons why i love road trips is being able to go on a road trip with the person you love. The two of you, spending the day on the road and seeing all the beautiful things you don't tend to look at or go to. One hand on the wheel and the other in your lover's hand.

Picture this: You are cruising down the road with the sunset in front of you, your favorite song on low with your windows slightly open for a nice feel of the breeze. You are looking at the road and then you look over to the passanger seat, You look into the love of your life's eye's and tell them that you love them and just for a moment you get lost in their beautiful eyes, but then your eyes are back on the road.

There is just too much to love about road trips, everyone has their own love for them. Whether it's a family road trip, a road trip where it's just you or maybe with some friends. There's no actual way to describe the feeling it gives you, it's a feeling that only yourself can feel and it makes you smile, smile like you've never smiled before.

I like it. It’s solid—can’t find much to critique.

There's nothing like the open road, where the view is always changing and new wonders are always just around another bend or over the next hill. I travelled extensively for the last eight years and saw most of the united states. I'd still be out there if my body hadn't told me that it wasn't going to work any more. lol Oh well, I have the memories and this piece brought them all back to me.

Thanks for sharing your ink and your essence within your woven word.

Loved it! I grew up going on road trips with my family a couple times a year, so this made me think of some wonderful lasting memories. Keep up the good work! :)

I loved it! Your story made me want to go on a road trip. The way you described looking out the windows and getting lost in your mind was just perfect. Also the end where you talked about looking into the eyes of the love of your life was so cute!
