In the rush of thoughts, a storm takes flight,

A mind alive in the endless night.

Ideas spark like fireworks untamed,

But focus falters; the chaos remains.

The clock ticks loud, a relentless foe,

Deadlines pass as the hours go.

Intentions strong, yet tasks unwind,

Lost in the labyrinth of a restless mind.

A simple chore can feel like a quest,

Climbing a mountain with no time to rest.

Misplaced keys and a wandering gaze,

A life lived in a scatter of days.

"Pay attention," they often say,

But the mind drifts far, away, away.

Chasing a thought that’s barely there,

While anchored by doubt, by silent despair.

The shame of forgetting, the sting of delay,

A heart that tries, yet falls in dismay.

But hidden beneath the restless stream,

Is a spirit alive with boundless dreams.

For in this whirlwind lies unique might,

A spark that dances, a curious light.

Creativity blooms where order fails,

And resilience rises when all else pales.

So, to those who battle the uncharted sea,

Know there’s beauty in your complexity.

You are more than the struggle, the fight, the strife.

You are the brilliance of a colorful life.

This is a stunning write! There is so much depth in what you are trying to say. To me it describes someone very artistic and a day dreamer. I used to worry that my “head was so often in the clouds “. I think it has to do with that side of the brain being stronger but lately I am wondering if it isn’t more a means of escape. Ah, but that’s the beauty of poetry and writing in general. You can be anyone or any where you like since you are able to create your own story.
