Closing the Door

Closing the Door

A Poem by Israel 🇵🇷
"

Something was said and this popped in my head

"

Mistakes were made, but none were mine,

You crossed a line I can’t redefine.

No need to hesitate, no need to wait,

This chapter ends, "it’s far too late.

Letting go will help me grow,

While your choices only pulled us low.

What if I was the right one for you?

You threw it away for someone new.

Your message stung, it cut me deep,

But I won’t lose myself; my soul, I’ll keep.

Lose my number; don’t reach out again,

This is goodbye, "no need to pretend.
