Dear Mother

Dear Mother

A Poem by rose with love

Dear Mother,

Dear mother, dearest of all humans close to me

With your hands, you could always set me free

You always did it in your own magical way.

I love your long, beautiful fair hair,

And how I used to play with it

I remember like it was yesterday

You sitting next to the window,

Feeling the rain,

Crossed hands, you were praying,

Your deep blue eyes watching through the window,

Through the life,

Praying for the pain to stay away.

Then I took you by surprise,

I clang to you like there would be no life,

And I remember like it was a few seconds ago,

Me standing in your bedroom door,

Watching you humming through the room

And then when you suddenly stopped in front of the window,

It’s then when I realized you were an angel.

The reflection of your wings seen through the glass

Caught my eyes,

And then You took me by surprise,

You smiled “come here”,

Took me by the hands

And slowly danced like fairies in fairytales

And we were singing the happiness louder and louder

So pain could be scared away….

Dear mother,

I know you can hear,

I miss you,

I miss you being here...

Author's Note

rose with love
I was put in a situation that made me think to my mother and not only her but everyone close to me so I wrote this about a girl, fighting with the memories of her mother. the mother who in the girl's eyes was seen as an idol, like a deity, always right, always there to save her little girl.
