Silly Blue Eyes

Silly Blue Eyes

A Poem by rose with love

Silly blue eyes,

Silly you,

I want to play the monster with you,

I want to be the claws under your bed

That crawls through your

Senses with dread.

I want to be the eyes in your closet

Watching every move, breath you take

So you can feel wanted.

Silly blue eyes,

Silly you,

I dare you to see

That I won’t miss you.

I dare you to breathe

Life without me.

I dare you to cut a half

From the “two”

I dare you  tell her about me,

The truth about you.

I dare you all these

As you dared me to bare you

Silly blue eyes,

Silly you.

You capture the subject of your poem very interestingly in this poem. It is as if you are speaking to your reader, penning out your emotions through an almost childish, playful voice and this is what brings out your immense flare as a poet. Your play with a carefree-like voice emphasizes the emotion and feel that you are trying to portray. When reading your poems, I always find something new and refreshing and I believe it is this versatility that keeps readers asking for more. Another great piece. Well done!

This is a read that holds a nursery rhyme-like flow.
"Silly blue eyes, silly you."
You take this obscure line that initially sounds joyful and turn you it into a taunting, evil verse. This was quite spectacular. I enjoyed how the simple rhyme scheme ran down the story and into some 'ascended darkness'. It made me smile with that lovely, evil grin of mine. Good work.

Silly blue eyes with the monster threat...and the fear or not knowing that the one scorned could split him in two.. Love it.. I love the way you totally ruled this situation..xx
