![]() The MoonA Poem by rose with loveCan you believe how many of us are waiting, walking, laughing, smiling, singing Under her sparkly spell Without caring?
Can you believe how many of us are hiding, crying, missing, hoping Under her magical glowing eyes; Unseen but living?
Who is she? Who is the queen of our souls? Who’s the queen of our hopes? Who’s the one you can never deny Because she was, is, will be always there For you, for me, for us.
There’s no way of turning your back on her, On her magical spell, never seen long hair Where our souls are sailing in safety; On her ivory eyes where our own images, endless masks Lies secretly, in peace; On her hands that always hold our hearts carefully, Caressing, setting us free.
You can never deny her smooth strength, You know it’s real. She simply makes you feel, So far as she is, her hands are still reaching out, Touching you, me, us.
Can you believe how faithful she can be? How every single night she spreads her wings, Opening up her heart and sooth our thoughts, Make us feel fulfilled and never lost. Can you believe how loving she can be? No matter what our hands had killed Or what our voices said, How many flowers we have withered, How much hate we have spread?
Can you believe this stranger? Or this is just my fantasy? Can you believe how many strangers are watching her As I’m writing? At 1:47 a.m. as my eyes seem to be seeing And as your reading this in who knows what hour from your clock your breathing?
Fantasy or not, what about your thoughts? How does she feel in your hearts? © 2011 rose with loveAuthor's Note
