The fabric of my dreams

The fabric of my dreams

A Poem by Candle in the wind
"

Just felt like writing as Haresh said he is looking forward to something new put up by me! Thanks Haresh. Moreover this was haunting me yesterday.

"

The fabric of my dreams

Has been tattered

By the bony fingers of fate

It is threadbare

Through constant abrasion

Against harsh reality

The vibrant colours have faded

As it is weather beaten

It can't cocoon me in warmth

Against frigid desolation

Nor give embalming shade

Against scorching glare

It can't waft me into flights of fancy

Like a magic cloak

It is about to come apart.

(I feel like a spoiled 5 year old brat asking for my favorite food)

Each of your work always carry a certain cultural color that I always enjoy reading through, and it is carried through words.

Quite like getting a nice whiff of sandalwood scent drifting through friendly air.

...

This poem has gotten me off staring at a wall, and daze, reflecting on what is affecting inside.

I can see the message real well, and like the cultural undertone, it carries itself in friendly air, a memory, perhaps, of being in a certain state once upon a time.

(the organ of smell has 10,000 sensory glands each only gets activated if an appropriate molecule fits in. This means that there are 10,000 smells of which we have no word of, but are familiar because of memory. This memory, is the main reason why when we smell the summer breeze, the day after the rain, and even the temple, do we get very nostalgic. It becomes a tranquil experience if that scent is attached to a positive memorial situation)

Great choice of words, great form, very well imparted message.

This is a wonderful piece.

A little too direct I feel, how about trying bits of anecdotes or descriptions...as in snapshots, not a linear narrative...

Loved the first pic, fits the piece perfectly.
This was such a deep piece in so many ways and I am sure everyone who reads this can identify with the emotional aspect you conveyed so amazingly here. Vivid to say the least you have coloured our minds with words so preciously spoken

Beautifully written and conveyed. We are all tattered and torn in some way and some shape. Those are the battle wounds and scars that let us know we are but humans and remind us of past mistakes, lessons learned. Some are great at hiding theirs from a judgmental society. I personally wear all my scars like proud badges of honor as I gaze upon them it reminds me of what I have lived through and what i live for. I truly loved this as it made me think about the world and my involvement in it

Well Done!!!!!
