Just Human

Just Human

A Poem by Candle in the wind
"

Perhaps a Tanka inspired by Tania...just to reassert that I am unable to live up to divine expectations and should be allowed my bouts of unreasonableness -- not that I expect a redemption but what is the harm in shouting it out !

"

I do hurt and bleed

And yearn for happiness too

I am just human!

I cringe and snap and envy

I want what I cannot have

I think we've all fallen victim to wanting happiness. How it comes at you with sweet wickedness and quickly leaves you feeling alone. I too have been to the depths and seen the darkest hours, yerning for happinees like silent showers....sorry I tend to rhymn even when I don't want to. I like this piece. much respect - XO D.E.

Great Tanka! And great thought-provoking subject matter. We all have our bouts of unreasonableness, and I think in realising that our demands may be unreasonable we can in some ways redeem ourselves.
Good job!

Thats what.........the world revolves around this....what we want...but what we cannot have.
Human would always be human with wants, expectations and finally disappointments.

Good thought. Beautifully put in this new form.

awe, sweet, we are all just human at the end of the day, I do wonder though if you have given what you want a real try. You are an amazing women, one that would be very hard to deny. Very well written, and a great piece of imagery too =)

Much love

First off, your Tanka is divine! You couldn't have chosen a better role model than Tania since her writing shows she is "super human."
You are more than human youself, you endure things others would find unbearable, your knowledge surpasses so many, your caring feelings for others shows in all you do. You are allowed to have a pity party just like everyone else to declare your pain. These growing pains will help you move up to a higher level. Soon you will come to the realization that settling for second best would never bring much but pain anyway. It's great to get out the bad stuff and shake it off and put on a new, elegant gown of "humanescence." I think I just made up a new word. lol.
Great therapy here with your Tanka and I'm sure you will master all you attempt quite beautifully, as you did here! Wonderful message and declaration!
