Perhaps a Tanka inspired by Tania...just to reassert that I am unable to live up to divine expectations and should be allowed my bouts of unreasonableness -- not that I expect a redemption but what is the harm in shouting it out !
I think we've all fallen victim to wanting happiness. How it comes at you with sweet wickedness and quickly leaves you feeling alone. I too have been to the depths and seen the darkest hours, yerning for happinees like silent showers....sorry I tend to rhymn even when I don't want to. I like this piece. much respect - XO D.E.
i feel this poem alot because i can relate to it for the simple reason the way it sounds to me on here is like the heart is bleeding and yerning for happness, that you want to be free from all pain and sorrow and to have the wonders of life enter your world...great poem ...belinda

I wanted to read more of your poems, for they are written in a very interesting format and color. This poem has also been a very enjoyable piece. The ability to express insights in a few lines is a talent that but a few do have, and you carry it nicely with good structure.
don't we all. Seems like everywhere in some place or time in a person's life we crave, envy something we can't have whether it be material of emotional. Some may be lucky enough to find what they are looking for whilst others like me, just keep dwelling this soulless path hoping for release to come soon
Brilliantly written, really stirred some emotions inside of me
Human: A creature that has a mixture of emotions: namely: hurt, need for happiness, yearnings, envy, desire....unending....
And, you, have succesfully encapsulated the characteristics of a typical human being in these 5 lines...Fabulous! Kudos for writing and sharing these words!!!
Balance in all things Mlady Happinesss and sadness are two sides of the same coin. Sometimes dreams come true when you least expect it. Blessings to you and yours
