I want to...

I want to...

A Poem by Candle in the wind
"

While driving through a storm in the weekend this just welled up in my mind. The wind whistling past, the rain drops pelting on the windscreen, the swaying trees and the blast on my face and my hair blown all over made me want to break free...

"

I want to walk through a storm

Break every fetter and norm

I want to get drenched in the rain

And wash away the pain

I want the wind blowing on my face

While I run at my own pace

I want to wrap around the cloud

Feel free to sing out aloud

I want to inhale the scent in the breeze
Dancing with the swaying trees

I want to embrace the cold air

In awe just stand and stare

I want to be in an impossible dream

Never hear reality scream

What are you waiting for? Go and do it, having said that you would not have much of the kind of weather you mention here in INDIA I guess.
I can understand your wanting to do these things as they are a cleansing, nurturing and comforting gift from the elements.
I love the imagery you created, I can feel the wind and rain on my face...
Love,

I love the way you arranged this with couplets. They flow one from another. This piece for me sounds like forging through a storm and finding more in it than just a storm. To experience the essences of what it is like to be the storm. Could be a personal internal storm as well.

I really enjoyed reading this.

I so so so feel one with you in these thoughts! Isn't it these very feelings of running away from the bounds of everyday life and to feel life and its elemenmts as they come that makes poets out of normal people?! I believe so......and the true poetess in you has evoked so spontaneously a thought that most people would strive to get across...love your imagery and the way your words pull me in....A great write....simply fabulous!!!!

God Bless You!!!

PS: When you find a way of doing it....do share it with me.......maybe we could embnark on the journey together!!!! LOLS!

I loved this! Such power and peace in this piece! Reminds me of leaning into the wind durring a windstorm once. so strong it could hold me up
Yet a great since of natural wonder and cleansing it did bring.
Great Write! :)

Great piece my friend, I love the almost lyrical feel it has to it and the short little sentences just strengthen this feeling.
Brilliantly uplifting piece, which spiritually enhances your readers to float high with you in your quest for a freedom where one could find eternal rest

Oh this is so beautiful.....
The undying quest of freedom....the greatest urge within.
Living and wishing.

The can feel the exhilaration of doing these things myself, treading along the white roads in the dark expecting surprises of nature.

This line is particularly my favorite - "I want to wrap around the cloud

Feel free to sing out aloud"
