WHY

WHY

A Poem by Candle in the wind

"Why" is a potent word

Just leave it suspended

It can evoke varied responses

anxiety

indignation

exasperation

understanding

answers

explanation

justification

further queries

discomfort

trigger a  spirit of inquiry

or protest

voice moods and concerns

Whether "Why"commences a question

or just an exclamation

or just stands alone

As a single word

Or is repeated

"Why Why why"

The best thing is

When someone knows its flavour

And can satiate that "why"

or atleast understand

Why

Why cant it be so always!

I really liked this and thought it was very creative. You have pushed the lines of normality and knocked the dust off the formal style with this. I love to see a writer work within their own ideas of what is abd should be and not fall victim to trying to force the flow of thoughts into something that has no life of its own. You have written something different and wonderful here.

Great Job!!!!!

wow! Awesome write.
Firstly, I need to admit that I loved the first picture a lot..It's like giving a self introduction to your piece.
And I really agree with about the word "why"...
In the entire piece I found as If you are yourself asking "why" a reason for its existence and usage and then in the end giving the most valid reason of its existence and immortality.

This is actually a kind of piece which can leave many of us thinking because at least I'm somehow surrounded by some hundred thoughts after reading the piece.

So, its really beautifully written and very well penned.

Thanks for sharing it and keep writing :)

We ask "why" to satisfy a deep emotional urge to understand everything around us. Other's ask why to understand their worlds.
When the why's cross paths, that when we either find truth, or disaster. Such is life.
Great Write. Most certainly a thinker and ponderer.

There is some ad campaign going around that asks or says..."why ask why?" With five kids in the house and being asked "why" every few minutes, my mother came up with a great one. Her response was "Because that's the why." We would walk away confused and would go on to something else. lol.
I think we have to understand that answers change all the time, it's hard to adapt to the feelings and responses. I also believe we need to stay true to ourselves. If we don't like the answer we should communicate and address it. What a perfect picture! Unique subject matter here and very nicely written, my friend!!

Though a very human inquisition, for the most part we learn not to ask, "Why?" It produces worry in the heart of many. In other instances getting to the bottom of it is very enlightening. Such as, "Why" does a certain person do the things they do? What causes certain behaviors or motivations? What is the root of it? Finding out the "whys" in question such as this may bring understanding, which can carry a comfort. Love the picture.
Dynamic!

Why.....is insatiable.

A question which has found its existence in every mind and every situation and yet has gone unanswered most of the times.....

Well written.
Good thinking.
