MomA Poem by Raja Anjana KothapalliLove you Mom!
Since my birth, you bore my burden.
No, no. Prior too, you were laden. To claim my exsistence, I tore you apart. No, no. Choose, you did, with rapt. Whenever I cried, you woke up, late night. No, no. 'Slept barely,' that is right. You never uttered a word, as I fell down. No, no. Except, 'stand on your own.' Each and every time, I took you for granted. No, no. You let it be, seldom you berated. Venting frustration, I repeatedly ranted at you. No, no. You always volunteered anew. You saved me from my mistakes, me being your kin. No, no. You covered me up, with your own skin. Than chasing light, you often preferred shadow. No, no. Lustre, you did, but in my glow. Fulfilling my dreams, I went across the sea. No, no. You let go, with your trust in me. My happiness is what that matters the most. No, no. To you, my health comes foremost. I will love you, until my death, dearest mother. No, no. Love, I shall, even after. © Raja Anjana Kothapalli 2014 © 2015 Raja Anjana KothapalliAuthor's Note
