Sojourn - Truth

Sojourn - Truth

A Poem by Raja
"

It is a compilation of several poems, rain, et al. Sometimes we are jubilant to find lost love, while sometimes we could not keep it for fear of missing it once again. Sojourn demonstrates the different phases of love one has encountered in life.

"

Truth

In the backdrop of fasting, lasting, and picking
Hours they met again
To patch up inequalities between them

They sat properly
They saw each other
They found the vehicles passing by with terrible speeds
They even noticed one college guy slowly vanished not giving
Any penny after buying a chicken cutlet from a
                               Nearby shop
They now watched the time

An hour was over
They did not start the talk

When one passers by asked one of them the fastest route to a place
Someone spoke one way
While another one retorted
‘It’s not the fastest one!’

In the mean time the stranger had gone to ask some other

This way they started the talk and forgot the harsh metaphors
They spoke to each other

Unfortunately, I happened to be one of them

Long after when I went there,
Another couple sat on the same pedestal
Without any word, looking opposite to each other,
I asked en route to dream land
They seemed puzzled.
And I answered it was there a few steps away from them —

Bizarre or weird whatever they thought of me
I knew for certain, they would start talking at least

No matter what another one was not with me now,
I felt a deep satisfaction
That I was the one to ask the question and I gave the answer…

interesting capture of a scene, I like the tension
"An hour was over
They did not start the talk"

and the passing of the pedestal

Such an interesting, vivid capture of a moment! You are subtle yet clear in this piece, and it relates so well to the odd moments that can arise in our lives... Excellent!

I agree with, Siddartha on this one. An awkward moment between the couple. Perhaps in a more intimate setting you'll get better results. Wonderfully written, Raja ... hugs

A very abstract work - it seems as if this couple has come back together to make amends but neither knows where to begin. Awkward moments are captured well in this piece. Thank you for sharing.
Light,
Siddartha
