Sojourn - Eyes

It is a compilation of several poems, rain, et al. Sometimes we are jubilant to find lost love, while sometimes we could not keep it for fear of missing it once again. �Sojourn� demonstrates the different phases of love one has encountered in life.

 

Eyes

 

Unlike you, I seemed to defy

The concept that love happened only

Because of eyes

 

It actually generated from there,

Traveled through cheek to lips to throat to chest to…

 

‘Forget this!’ I said to her when

She kept on reminding me our olden days

 

Frankly speaking, I never found anything attractive

To her eyes

 

Those were like any other eyes

Those did not garner any more skill

To soften me in times when I was tired or broken

 

I was not a liar

As I never praised her eyes

 

Being asked why I loved her

Only I said I found it interesting to talk with her

As if it would never end

In the middle of my talks

But that did nothing to do with her eyes

 

While she said N numbers of adjective

About my eyes

Like intense, reflective, sensitive, and such like

 

I ventured more now into seeing her eyes

 

Back in my dream

Back in my leisure

Back in my feel

 

But I could never bring back the days

Gone by with more tears that also

Came from my eyes

More than the love!!

Sometimes we try to recapture what we once had, once shared, once felt, by looking into the eyes only to realize, it's not there anymore ... A very heartfelt poem, Raja ... hugs

Perhpas you were wrong in her eyes? Sometimes we think we are right for each other but our heart says we aren't and we can't let go... So her eyes were the pain for your heart... Love is soo sensitive! I like this seeking you addressed with this poem! very delicate poem on this topic.
