Little Soldier

Little Soldier

A Poem by Raivu
"

This is a poem I wrote about growing up, and forgetting how to be a child and have fun. Running away from boring adult hood to go back to being a child, having fun, and finding the world fascinating.

"
my broken hearted people
my beautiful forte
listen to me wisely and hear what I've to say
if you were like my brother
then you would be a father
to all of those who seek your lives
in hopes to make them better

Run
Run Away
Run
Run Away

Come my little child
Open up your eyes
See the world with blissful hope
And see it through the Skies.
Your fingers are your little soldiers
Your toes are little tanks
And with this army on your shoulders
You've got yourself to thank

Run
Run Away
Run
Run Away

Come, step forth my little soldiers
I'll show you how to play
My walky talky amplifiers
My soon-to-be beret
you are a knight with sword and shield
Your princess is in need
Go and get her, little soldier
Doing as you please

Run
Run Away
Run
Run Away

Author's Note

Raivu
I'm not sure what I think about the last line "Doing as you Please" It seems a bit off, but I can't think of another way to describe a child using his imagination to save a princess.
Also, the repetitive "Run, Run Away". I originally wrote it for a song and that's the chorus, but as far as poetry goes I'm not sure if it fits.
