The Old Me Is Back

The Old Me Is Back

A Poem by Raisins Badeaux

The old me is back...
is something I shouldn't have said.
crushed to a powder
and left there instead.

suppress the thought, I turn to stone
rolled under something
forgotten, alone.

I don't know if this is meant to be "light-hearted", but I took it that way. Probably because I'm old, getting older, and often make fun of my broken down, things-falling-off old body.
