i think this is the silly journey of life ,child still a child will find it easy ,some more years when life hits hard, then its never easy ,then comes old age ,where not much is left, then its also easy for as fate is nearing nothing matters anymore,so it could not be easier,no need for fight, just let go,what is this do i have to be reminded always how silly life is,just a sequence of events till the end which is not far ,great write rain
i like the steps of growth through out this piece. the sweet innocence, the adolescence and the experience. very well written and great use of diction.
Its easy the boy grows from smiling to crying.
So poignant
There is that time when the magick circle breaks and life comes rushing in
Where we wake up and rub the sleep from our eyes with the sun burning reality a bit too brightly
Our parents or grandparents may warn us in vein to enjoy youth
Remember, relish, appreciate the freedom and beauty while you've got it.
Take care of your knees for God sakes!
But there is a freedom that can be found at the other end of the scale too
Once you get over that ragged summit in the middle
Crunched between work and family; parents and children
Of coming into your own
Knowing your soul, your roots, your heart
Making peace with your memories
Your poem takes the reader by the hand and says "walk with me" up and down this hill of life
powerful, i like your style of writing and the way u used the font and color to convey your message...this website has shown me many great writers more than any Barnes & Noble has, and you are one of them
and thanks for your review on my piece, it was much appreciated, i am off to read some more
he's been dancin to the memory
of that time he once knew
when the street light.. was moon light
and his plan was all new
soft rain fallin ... yesterday callin
say it's easy ... so damn easy
he cries...
What a poignant ending to beautiful time that takes anyone down memory lane. You have traced the passage of time with a deft stroke of your creative brush!Great work!

Rain, the font, the wording, the feeling, all are wonderful....you've really portrayed the essence of the emotional mind of an aging individual...I would say man, but I don't have the authority to speak on the mind of a man. LOL...anyway...it's wonderful...again.
Mmmm, what a sweet reflective piece. Has the feel of a song to me.
I liked how at the beginning and the end, in youth and in old he felt 'life was easy". The hope in the eyes of a child and the widsom of the learned man on their outlook to life. The in between years, a bit rougher. I can't help but wonder why our attitudes change, maybe to we try to make something out of our lives that they aren't planned to be..? The frustration sets in.....?
When we get to that place of wisdom is probably when we'll know.
Very accurate in the way we live. Nice piece, I enjoyed it.
Blessings,
Kelly
