Searching Soul

Trotting cowboy voyages through the west

Giving aid to small towns

Taking reward instead of working for

He lives off terra and travels with ghosts

Simple man, simple mind, you think

What strange company he keeps

Spirits lingering around him

They guide, never hide

Haunting figure stares into your soul

Curiously you wonder how they leave him be

Until you see, at morning's glow, the sun

Shining through him you no longer wonder

Hollow cowboy trotting through the West

In search of his soul

Very nicely done. You did a good job on telling the readers a story through the writing. The only thing I can say is that line three seems like it's missing something but that's all.

Sounds like a ghost story that can be told around a campfire to spook girls. Boys too.

Cool beans home slice. This poem is sooooooo totally tubular. I love the radical wording, but, my buddy friend, in order to make this even more poppin', I would recommend switching the lines " What strange company he keeps, Spirits lingering around him". But what do I know??? Later Gator

Its story within a story;)

my favorite line is " He lives of terra and travels with ghosts"

Terra as in the video game?
