The Melody of Emotions

 

Upon the rustle of the air,

somewhere,

beneath satin folds of a rosy gown,

bare soles barely touching the ground

as they rush towards eternity;

 

the soul of liberty.

Breathless, she halts at the balcony,

her heartbeats echoing a symphony,

her eyes drowning into an ocean;

a sea of love and devotion,

 

the melody of emotions.

His smile could touch the sky,

ripples of unsaid words wry,

the murmurs of the night,

blinking stars in delight,

 

to meet her long-lost knight.

Breaths enlaced within satin folds,

swept off her feet; she holds,

beholds, betrothed to her love,

cushioned into that velvety cove,

 

wrapped in the cloak of his soul,

Hugging the seams of her life,

nestled in the core of his heart,

their fingers touched and

the world came apart,

 

as the stars drop from above,

and fell over their love,

into a fine drizzle,

a thousand million of purple

dancing lightning bugs...

 

Author's Note

after reading mèRomeo's "Love in the rain"...i kept thinking about romeo and juliet and the balcony scene...so i decided to kind of..re-capture a bit the balcony scene!
