Meteor Shower

Meteor Shower

A Poem by ∂αʌɛɛиα
"

the sea veils my eyes...

"

Song of the Sea

" Waves crashing at my feet,

  my sorrows sinking in deep,

life revolving around a grain of sand,

  secret murmurs i couldn't understand,

  the sea veils my eyes,

  blinking stars across the skies,

  and

as a meteor shower crushes my hopes,

i lose my soul and become a host."

some stray thoughts...
honest comments please...
[pic is from fotoblur]

note: as to the question of: to what am I hosting? "its just an inspiration i got when i wrote the poem...the thing is that...'in the poem', the moment i lose my soul...which then becomes a wandering soul...the soul become a host and searched fro another body to accomodate it! [its not far-fetched---read The Host by Stephenie Meyer...{and no...im not a vampire-addict when i read Meyer's books :P}]

I think without the author's note I can understand this. After one loses a soul, the theory that comes to mind is if you lose your soul you are vulnerable to become like a puppet with another....i think im thinking too much....but anyways, I still enjoyed the write! Beautifully written.

I got a sense of the of the sea's mystery and the universe's power. I am a bit curious as to what you are hosting.

The sky is a great mystery. The science people try to control all things. Never will control the beauty of a night. I like the beautiful photo and strong words. The ending did confuse me. I like to see the raining of meteor in the night. Thank you for a excellent poem.

Lovely! It's tragic yet it has that mystery feel to it as well. I love it!
Well-written. Great job!

I'm curious to know what you are becoming "host" to?

It's beautiful - it portrays the sea as the mysterious thing it is.
Although visually a bit seperated from the rest of the poem, the last two lines complete the poem perfectly.
