Chorus of Angels

Chorus of Angels

A Poem by Nicholas Antonio Young
"

I was listening to some beautiful ambient sounds, and this is how I felt while listening to it.

"

As if underneath a waterfall of sound

The chorus of angels' voices wash over me

All my senses vibrate and hum while my heart pounds

This I know, is what it means to be free

For but an earthly second in their light I flew

Yet I basked there for an eternity

I'm carried on breezes of sound as it blew all through

The angel's voices sing to me the truth of reality

My body becomes evanescence into the chorus

My mind melds with the music's waves

My soul submerges into this light filled ocean of Arcturus

Within the chorus of angels, is where I am truly saved

These weren't lyrics for a song this time. I decided to try my hand at making just a regular poem. I hope you all like it. And sorry for the mistake on the fifth line. It was a typo, but I corrected it. Thanks for pointing it out everyone :)

I really enjoyed this poem. =D This is just me being nit-picky but in line 6 I felt kind of awkward with the "for an eternity", and I think if it's just "for eternity" would make it flow nicer. But that's just my opinion. It's a really great poem, and keep up the good work! =3

For a moment I felt that I've been sublimed in the arms of floral beauty. It's good and intriguing.

Your use of vocabulary is impressive, your words flow and sound beautifully much like a roaring waterfall. Your desciptions/comparisions are powerful making the poem unforgettable. You also say that is noise or sound sets you free, when the body is in such a state of relaxation people often say they feel free, you desrcibe this perfectly. Great job :D

I like the descriptions you use and the first stanza is especially good. One point I noticed - "For but a earthly second" should really be "For but an earthly second". Apologies if it is just a typo. Sounds like it was a very nice piece of music!
