Chorus of Angels

Chorus of Angels

A Poem by Nicholas Antonio Young
"

I was listening to some beautiful ambient sounds, and this is how I felt while listening to it.

"

As if underneath a waterfall of sound

The chorus of angels' voices wash over me

All my senses vibrate and hum while my heart pounds

This I know, is what it means to be free

For but an earthly second in their light I flew

Yet I basked there for an eternity

I'm carried on breezes of sound as it blew all through

The angel's voices sing to me the truth of reality

My body becomes evanescence into the chorus

My mind melds with the music's waves

My soul submerges into this light filled ocean of Arcturus

Within the chorus of angels, is where I am truly saved

These weren't lyrics for a song this time. I decided to try my hand at making just a regular poem. I hope you all like it. And sorry for the mistake on the fifth line. It was a typo, but I corrected it. Thanks for pointing it out everyone :)

I really enjoyed this poem. =D This is just me being nit-picky but in line 6 I felt kind of awkward with the "for an eternity", and I think if it's just "for eternity" would make it flow nicer. But that's just my opinion. It's a really great poem, and keep up the good work! =3

The flow of the poem i so great. You choice of words is excellent, 'cause I was already captivated with just the first line and as well as your description. :D Very well-done.

This is a pleasant poem, full of emotion and positive vibes. A small technical suggestion, you might change 'For but a earthly' to 'an earthly'. I also enjoy the feeling of release or freedom while listening to such music. Your writing is easy to read and thoughtful, which makes it a well-written poem, to me.

This is a beautifully written work, Nicholas! The essence of feeling as though one has been lifted up by 'the chorus of angels' is nothing short of awe-inspiring!!
A gorgeous poem -- and one that is well worth reading!!

I remember the first time I heard Meshuggah, I was huddled in the corner rocking myself.

Very nice write. I love the imagery that you have captured and have shared with us.
