Nirvana

A Poem by Nicholas Antonio Young
"

This another poem. It expresses much of my philosophical views. I hope you all enjoy it.

"
Envision a young man
Standing at the edge of the world
What he sees before him
Is nothing, yet everything

His eyes comprehend a blank void
His mind imagines what could be
With this fusion of mind and body
Comes a new clarity
One of mind , body, and soul

He sees limitless impossible possibilities
Stretched out before him
He notices, realizes the power of creation
Sleeping within him

Not a gift bestowed upon him
But an awakened strength inside
Achieved only through himself
A truth he's always known
Yet never believed

He then casts aside his worldly fears
And jumps into the void
Like an arrow of light, he pierces the night
Everyone watches from a far away world
As they see a new star has been born

I really enjoy this song it's very thought provoking and it's very deep on many levels. One thing that I particularly liked was how you use words that are kind of like oxy-morons to complement each other; like in line four and ten. Another thing that I really loved was the ending and how it brings so much hope and positive energy. =3

I found it very prophetic, I like the titles of your poems a lot! I like the potential and expansion it creates, the sense of quantum power in the void!

This is a really well written piece. I can totally see where you're coming from. The light and dark imagery is great to see and I can totally catch the spirituality in it and I love the level of depth it adds to the lyrics!
