The one who inspired this poem is one of the most beautiful people in the world. I don't know what I would have done if this individual hadn't come into my life when they did. This poem is an expression of something I truly cannot express. This is a fragment of the limitless love I will always have in my heart for this person for the rest of my life. I may be gone tomorrow, but these words and feelings will stay until the end of time.

I see you at the edge

The edge between familiarity and happiness

The edge where everything changes

Where so many dreadful things phase us

This is where life will always place us

The crossroads of terrifying decision

To stand on familiar ground

Or to jump and see new sights

And hear new sounds

It'd be so much easier

If we could have been given wings

We could fly to places to see new things

We always have to fall and collide

Hit the ground and try to rise

But if it were different than this

How could we ever accept life?

How could I be in love with you at all

If I was too scared to let myself fall

A new journey awaits you, my dear

Whether you stay and hold onto fear

Whether you listen or just hear
