Traces of You

Traces of You

A Poem by Raine7

I glance over the day
Wondering what tomorrow will bring.
Will I feel the closeness of this new
pulse that resonates within.

I hear your heart beating-
as it ties with mine.
With the end of another day,
we hold each other close with the memories of now.

I close my eyes as you touch my face;
Your words are brush strokes that evokes
waves of eroticism.

Please do not vanish into tomorrow without
a trace; as I desire to know what lies within.
Tapping the window into your soul-wanting
To experience the depth untold.

You sing with words that touch me; dance with
Me and hold me close …feel the pulse.
As I open my eyes what remains are the traces of you.

Wonderful original phrasing. A call to love hopeful for its return, there will always be traces of a love like this, they never leave...even past forever.
I would take the 'S' off 'evokes' and do a little tweaking on your last stanza, just to make it a little more fluent. Other than that...PERFECT Raine.
Kudos...

Helen.
