She Knew

She Knew

A Poem by RaindropsRoses93

And she knew that he loved her
With every ounce of his soul
With every thread oh his heart
She knew that he loved her right from the start

To her he was just too much
She would be a step down
A fact he always denied
But she knew it and forced away tears with a sigh

And so she rejects him
And she knows it breaks his heart
But he doesn’t know everything about her
Like her loving him until the day they will part

She had always loved him
From the day they connected eyes
She wanted to be with him
For the rest of her life

But fairytales will pass her
And fate wont hit home
So until he can move on
She is forced to leave him alone

It is a wonderful poem I have read in recent time - it is simple and somber; it is to-the-point; and it is intelligently depicted melodrama.

The poem started with "And", and this gives a ongoing touch to it. It seems a part of journey is taken and given in words. I like this style.

About the cliamx and philosophy, I must admit that sometimes we do things that are publicly awkward, but those are fair enough in reality. People might not see that somehow, but we cannot help doing that following message of hearts.

Overall, it is really a good read for me.

Thank You.

Raja.

Rejection is always a hard thing to deal with. You portrayed the emotion well. Good job.

Wow... this one holds personal meaning for me. Recently went through a situation as you mentioned...so the feeling of "rejection" was dead on!

Love this...really!!
