Her Secret

Her Secret

A Poem by RaindropsRoses93

What do you expect from a burdened soul

A sane way of thinking or a way to fill the hole

The scars that hide beneath her skin show a toubled past.

The constant fear beneath her eyes, not concealed by a mask

Her body aches and she wants to cry

She can't find peace and would much rather die

Her smile is cracked by the pain she hides

The darkness is descending from where it was kept inside

She thinks of the good but gets only bad

Her dreams are consumed by the life she never had

She puts on a smile and crawls through the pain

The pain that she stifles leaves her little to say.

Good poem. I like how you say she can't find peace because of her secrets. So true.

The emotion is powerfully bled here, very heartfelt words well expressed!
