The Spell of Love

The Spell of Love

A Poem by Rainbowco

In the forest glade, mystical

Shadows dance around the fire

Then rise through the trees.

Flicks of color, stars lyrical

Float among the planets higher

Creating the cosmos by degrees.

I am a caster of enchantments

Yet I would not so enthrall you

Nor bind you blindly by magic.

Woman to man I would love you

Bound by our hearts’ commitment,

A cloak woven with love’s fabric.

Your closeness is the feeding fuel

Searing my heart with its brilliance.

Your lips murmur sweet enticements

Ripping away at my mind’s logic.

In you my world becomes absorbed

As one, we magically take flight.

I perceive the moon’s brightness,

I dare to look upon its radiance

Reflected on water, contorted.

As I linger in your arms tonight

I need not gaze in the seer’s orb

Searching for tomorrow’s light.

You cast a nice spell indeed. Lines like "ripping way at my mind's logic" are wonderful.

Very nice job with this one!

I absalutly love this poem. It makes me feel like I am right there. Your intellect in mystical places is astonishing. I am rather jeolous that someone can right so good like this. You have a wonderful talent so keep on using it.
