You are my safe harbor

My place of abode

In this world of labor

Calamities unfold

Of

Life’s contagions

 

Others your body bought

But your love never sold

Given to me to savor

We are caught

In

Life’s combustions

 

Tonight we drift content

Tethered to each other

Without any pretense

In need of comfort

From

Life’s exploitations

 

World outside so toxic

Filled with ugly mutters

Let us defy all logic

Staying this night lovers

In

Life’s passions
