The distinct flash of glass caught the corner of my gaze.  So the boy had given her the mirror.  Everything was falling just as fate had laid out, then.  Next would come the dream, then.  I would be hard to watch.  As soon as she hears that name…  “Ebony,” I whispered, looking longingly towards where she lay.  “Sometimes, we do not let go of innocence…  So please, no matter what you see, not matter what I put you through…  Never let go of the innocence inside you.  Please…  I don’t want to have to lose you just yet.  For now, live on… and do what I cannot.”
