Garden of Lost Dreams

Garden of Lost Dreams

A Poem by RainbowFlames

the walls were 3 feet wide and 12 feet tall in the garden of dreams.
children would come here to play,
play hide and go seek.
but the children weren't the only ones here hiding and seeking.
in this world of black, white, and red tragedy struck.
one child was sought out and found,
because her aura was so sweet; the sweetest.
her blood ran warm on the cement path as her stalker protected it's prize.
i will never forget it's eyes.
the hunger and desire that polluted them.
he stole her soul.
and hid it far, far away.
in the valley of death, where living creatures came to die,
where no one dared to go.
for it was unbearably cold there,
empty there,
and deathly quiet.
with nothing but the sounds of the ocean waves,
lapping and sucking at the shore,
it too, hungry for death.
