Sunset Followed By SunriseA Poem by RainbowFlames
must we really justify our existence?
as the sun may rise, and the tides may come and go, the moon may shine, and the winds may gently blow. we are mere, meant to be, a young species. as fires may burn, and the grass may dew, the seasons may turn, and as i love you. time marches on, as the clouds may spin. heaven blinks once, as the wiser ones grin. tiny, so tiny, and so prone to sin. justify our existence? where to begin. stars pollute the skies, as leaves do the trees, as we do the atmosphere, the oceans, the breeze. the flowers bloom, and snow flakes flutter, leaves crumble, and the winds softly mutter. earth lives, it's alive. but it suffers, as humans thrive. but we're a tiny speck, in the eyes of mother and father. we're truly just a bother. they're better off, without a doubt. they're better off, with or without.
