Demon vs. Angel

You found a boy from a broken home
Who still had a glimmer of light in his eyes
Gained his trust by getting him away from the hell he was born into
Told him you'd never hurt him like they did
Then as soon as you had him
You chained him up
You took the rest of his light
And let it fly away in the wind
The boy went years forgetting about the light he once had
And he realized that you were a demon
Escorting him through just another layer of hell
Then he broke that chain
And let himself fly away with the wind
Not knowing what he was looking for, but knowing he was missing something
As the boy grew into a man, he still couldn't find what he was missing
One day he looked into the eyes of an angel who had a light in his chest
Their hearts connected and the boy realized
The light inside his eyes
Had been lost inside the angels heart
And the angel would fight to keep that light from leaving again
