Dad

Dad

A Poem by RainbowEmerald

How can a person be so manipulative
To tell his daughter he loves her
Then taking her by the neck
And shattering her soul
But “I’m sorry” fixes everything
Right?

I hate you
For turning my life into a game
People love to play
But nobody plays right
The rules are bent and cheated
But that’s all I’ve ever known

And I love you
For the little moments
Like that time you gave me the snow globe
Still sitting on my shelf
As an “I’m sorry”
And that fixes everything
Right?

"I'm sorry" has it's own limitations like everything and every word said. It works only when a mistake has been done, it doesn’t work with crimes done.
